Kurt is looking for an accountant to join our team.  The accountant assists with month-end close processes, general ledger analysis, and reconciliations, journal entries, financial reports, and budgeting/forecasting. 

 

Essential Functions                                  

  • Manage work order closings, variance reporting & cost accounting
  • Provide support for cost savings, data analysis, and tracking of business performance
  • Perform account reconciliations
  • Provide support for external audits
  • Manage fixed assets & depreciation
  • Manage lease obligations
  • Sales Tax and government reporting
  • Evaluate capital acquisition proposals
  • Develop and report operation performance metrics
  • Manage the company’s inventory cycle counting process

Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to adhere to, accounting processes and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Microsoft Office experience, with strong Excel Skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills

Preferred

  • 4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
  • 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret and report financial data
  • ERP experience
  • CPA or CMA certification
