Kurt is looking for an accountant to join our team. The accountant assists with month-end close processes, general ledger analysis, and reconciliations, journal entries, financial reports, and budgeting/forecasting.
Essential Functions
- Manage work order closings, variance reporting & cost accounting
- Provide support for cost savings, data analysis, and tracking of business performance
- Perform account reconciliations
- Provide support for external audits
- Manage fixed assets & depreciation
- Manage lease obligations
- Sales Tax and government reporting
- Evaluate capital acquisition proposals
- Develop and report operation performance metrics
- Manage the company’s inventory cycle counting process

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
- Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to adhere to, accounting processes and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Microsoft Office experience, with strong Excel Skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
Preferred
- 4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
- 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret and report financial data
- ERP experience
- CPA or CMA certification
