Director of Integrated Health Quality Position Summary

The Director of Integrated Health Quality is responsible for coordination and implementation of key initiatives to support an integrated service delivery model. The Director is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing various aspects of Primary Care, Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder and Administrative functions to ensure regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and workflows, and proficient procedures and processes. Oversees the management of integrated quality improvement data management, strategies and assessment. 

Director of Integrated Health Quality Job Responsibilities

  • Provide regulatory oversight and auditing for key initiatives including DOH, PCMH, HRSA, CCBHC, federal and state grants and other key constituencies.
  • Provide project management for key initiatives in Integrated Health strategic projects and initiatives, including Clinical and Quality Measures for DOH.
  • In collaboration with IHC Leadership, implements routine, standardized peer audits of client record documentation, the environment of care, and other audits as required to facilitate standards compliance, quality of care monitoring, and problem identification.
  • Coordinate the clinical and quality teams in leading risk identification and management across the integrated system of care.
  • Collaborate closely with non-clinical clinic functions including effective integration of care management services in primary care and promote their work within the context of the Integrated Care Team. 
  • Provides supervisor support to the Quality Improvement, Medical Records and Data Coordination roles.  This includes operationalizing the Regional Health Information (RHIO) systems.
  • Coordinate with the Business Intelligence team to generate reports on clinical and operational quality measures using the clinic’s Electronic Health Record and other third-party data platforms
  • Interface and provide direction to front office workflow efficiencies and standardize processes across service lines; facilitate process improvement where needed
  • Act as primary liaison to insurance payers for primary care quality and gaps in care initiatives.
  • Ensures ability to accurately produce and collect data related to patient service utilization, trends and patterns in the patient population, and overall health center performance to support internal decision-making; review and evaluate business procedures including clinical indicators, reporting, and productivity using data; execute plans for improvement
  • Lead and participate in quality committees and ensure required data elements are reviewed, and analyzed and that recommendations and follow-up are carried out; facilitate and oversee improvement and enhancement of service delivery efforts and other initiatives. 
  • Participate in key health needs assessments for the purpose of informing and improving the delivery of health center services; analyze key data elements including patient outcomes, patient satisfaction, grievance trending, and other quality indicators to recommend QI strategies.
  • Develop and maintain efficient workflows with patient records, referrals and data sharing with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, MBA, Public Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of administrative/management experience
  • Working knowledge of integrated healthcare models and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of Electronic Health Record systems, spreadsheets, and computer applications.
  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives
  • Skilled in project management
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills

Pay: $75,000 to $85,000 / year
