Our residential facilities purpose at is to provide a safe and supportive environment for children, youth, and families who are facing mental illness, abuse, and neglect. Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED;
• A minimum of one (1) year food service experience in a commercial, industrial or residential operation; or
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Successful completion of all required pre-hire tests and proof of current TB test upon hire.
• ServSafe Certification
• Certification in Food Protection

Job Summary: 

The Cook prepares, seasons and cooks a wide variety of food items, oversees the inventory and storage of food and related items and ensures the cleanliness of the kitchen and all applicable equipment at the Cleveland Christian Home residential center. We are currently looking for someone to work Part Time. 

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Exemplify at all times Community standards of cleanliness,
• Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance and presentation standards at all times.
• Produce and serve menu cycle programs that are compliant with required Nutritional/Dietary criteria as required by local regulations and correctly prepare diets provided per Procedure.
• Exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production.
• Assist with serving of meals and ware washing as necessary.
• Evaluate food service such as quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance; and conduct evaluations to make revisions in operations / procedures to promote improved food service.
• Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment.
• Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.
