Job Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in providing therapeutic, residential, social or program services to children and families; and/or
  • A minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Ohio Driver's License, appropriate driving record, and appropriate insurance coverage at all times (as required by agency policy and/or insurance carriers).
  • Successful completion of all required pre-hire tests and proof of current TB test upon hire 

 Job Summary:

The Residential Manager is responsible for the programs, administration, development, maintenance, and coordination of residential services.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the residential programs and services.
  • Participates in the implementation of agency and program policies and procedures ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with all health and safety requirements, program audit standards, licensure requirements and performance contracting requirements through the preparation and oversight of statistical and service reports, summaries, case records and other documents for inter/intra-agency communications, development/updating of agreements, and other administrative reports as requested.
  • Works in close cooperation with the Associate Director and staff to continually improve the quality of daily care and services for all residential programs.
  • Ensures effective performance measures; including timely and accurate documentation and record keeping by monitoring and analyzing system database and records and implementing corrective action as necessary.
  • Supports, directs, and guides the activities of assigned staff involved in program activities. Ensures an array of services are provided that address the individualized needs of clients. Services include, but are not limited to, ongoing assessment of needs, coordination of services, linkage, symptom monitoring, advocacy, and skill development. 
  • Assists clinical services team in the use of clinical therapists and individual or group therapeutic interventions.
  • Coordinates with appropriate staff to establish accurate intake guidelines for program clients and with expediting medical and therapeutic services for new residents.
  • Provides supervision and coordination of agency programs ensuring all professional and ethical standards are adhered to.
  • Conducts monthly team supervision and provides individual supervision and unit mentoring.
  • Maintains residential service staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and coaching employees. Evaluates employee performance and monitors employees ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ensures appropriate staff coverage; establishes and maintains staff schedules, including on-call. Reviews and approves time sheets, authorizes overtime and leave requests for assigned staff
  • Participates in the implementation of new programming and services to support short and long-term program goals and objectives and meet client needs.
  • Requests supplies and equipment; ensures maintenance of inventory records.
  •  Ensures proper utilization and timeliness of services and optimizes client care by coordinating services within the organization and with other community support services.
  •  Represents the program and promotes the values of the agency by participating in community meetings, training seminars and joint-venture collaborations.
  • Serves as a community resource for local agencies and others interested in program services. Interprets and represents assigned programs internally and externally.
  • Promotes the established agency culture and develops buy-in with residential staff.
