The Centers seeks a Dental Assistant to aide the Dentist in providing Dental Services in the regular and EIP Dental Clinics. Organizes dental clinic intake, and prepare for patient flow.

Job Duties

  • Cleans, sterilizes and properly stores instruments, assists with inventory of dental supplies to ensure adequate stock at all times.
  • Launders smocks, sets up dental operatory equipment prior to clients arriving at the dental clinic.
  • Assist with client calls and follow-up.
  • Participates in dental clinic intake, and assists with triage and referrals.
  • Assists dental clinic flow and operation by providing supplies and equipment as requested by Dentists. Assists with pre-medication of clients, chair-side assistance for students, treatment options education, and postoperative instructions as directed by the Dentists.
  • Follows The Circle Health standards of client care and satisfaction, complies with QAI program, and communicates all client complaints to the Dental Director and does so for immediate problem resolution.
  • Maintains records, assists with orientation of new dental volunteers.
  • Assists in dental intake training of history takers and facilitates communication among volunteers.
  • Assists with wrap-up and clean up at the close of dental clinic.
  • Ensures client satisfaction.
  • Promotes effective communication within and between departments through teamwork.
  • Attends departmental and Circle Health all staff meetings.
  • Contributes to departmental and organizational decision-making through active participation.
  • Works effectively and positively with co-workers and volunteers.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
